This video focuses on how identity, is unavoidable part of our lives since we are born. How external factors have a great impact on how we perceive ourselves .How identity can create opposition by dividing world by borders where people perceive themselves as having conflicting interests.
Haleh Jamali works with a wide range of media and techniques that have included painting, photography, performance, installation and video. Her work often deals with issues of female identity, inspired by images of women from the Middle East. Her interest in portraiture and narrative stems from a desire to address the social aspects of representation, particularly in relation to the female gender and with a concern for the hidden layers beneath that which is visible.
